This Legal Notice and Disclaimer contains important legal information regarding the use of the website https://skykite.com.tr ("SkyKite" or "Platform"). By using the Platform, you accept the conditions specified in this text.
1. Nature of the Service: Information and Matching
SkyKite is merely an information and matching platform connecting passengers traveling from Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to Turkey (or vice versa) with users who want to have items brought accompanied by passengers. The Platform does not provide transportation services, does not assume the role of carrier, contractor, or commercial intermediary, and does not charge commissions or brokerage fees for transactions between users. The agreement, payment, delivery of the item, and all similar processes between users are subject exclusively to the relationship they establish between themselves.
2. Customs Information Is Not Legal Advice
The customs limits, exemptions (such as the 430 Euro value limit for passenger-accompanied items), prohibited/restricted items, and similar content on the Platform are for general informational purposes only; they do not constitute legal advice, consultancy, or official declarations. Customs legislation changes frequently; no guarantee is given regarding the currency of the information. For binding information on your personal situation, please refer to the official sources of the Turkish Ministry of Trade Customs Administration, a customs broker, or other authorized bodies. All consequences of transactions made based on this information belong to the User.
3. Customs Declaration, Taxes, and Legal Responsibility Belong to the User
Submitting customs declarations, declaring the item, paying customs duties and taxes — all customs procedures and the legal responsibility arising from them belong exclusively to the User. SkyKite does not perform customs procedures, submit declarations, or pay taxes on behalf of any User. Administrative, financial, and criminal liabilities arising from false or incomplete declarations, carrying prohibited items, bringing commercial quantities, and similar violations belong personally to the User.
4. Disclaimer for Transactions Between Users
SkyKite is not a party to or guarantor of transactions established between users. The accuracy of users' identities, declarations, listings, and offers is the sole responsibility of the relevant User. SkyKite cannot be held liable in any way for transactions between users, payments, damage to, loss of, delay in, non-delivery of the item, fraud, or any other damage and disputes. Resolution of disputes is the sole responsibility of the relevant users.
5. No Guarantee of Accuracy and Currency of Information
Content on the Platform is provided "as is". SkyKite gives no express or implied warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose of the site content. Service interruptions may occur due to technical failures, maintenance-related outages, unforeseeable events, and similar reasons; SkyKite is not liable for indirect damages arising from such events.
6. External Links and Third-Party Content
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites and content. These links are provided for convenience only; the content, terms of use, and privacy practices of the linked sites are the sole responsibility of the relevant site. SkyKite does not review the content of external sites and is not liable for damages arising from reliance on information or services on these sites. Additionally, content uploaded by users (listings, reviews, messages) reflects the views of the relevant User and does not bind the views of SkyKite.
7. Intellectual and Industrial Property
All content of the Platform, including its design, texts, logos, the name and trademark "SkyKite", belongs to SkyKite or its licensors and is protected under the Turkish Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works No. 5846 and the Industrial Property Law No. 6769. The content of the Platform may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without SkyKite's written permission. Any use beyond the personal use permitted by the Platform is prohibited.
8. Right to Amend
SkyKite reserves the right to update this Legal Notice and Disclaimer at any time without prior notice. The current text enters into force upon publication on the Platform. Last updated: 03.09.2026.
