As the data controller SkyKite (https://skykite.com.tr), your personal data is processed within the scope explained below in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").

1. Data Controller

Your personal data is processed by SkyKite (https://skykite.com.tr), acting as data controller, in compliance with the KVKK and related legislation. For applications: info@skykite.com.tr

2. Personal Data Processed and Purposes

For the provision of membership and matching services, the following data is processed: first and last name, username, e-mail address, phone number, password digest, flight information (date, flight number, departure-arrival point), item requests, offers, messages, IBAN information, profile photo and uploaded documents, IP address, device/browser information, and cookie data; for the following purposes:

• Creating, verifying, and managing the membership account;
• Providing the matching service between the Requester and the Passenger; publishing and transmitting listings, requests, and offers;
• Enabling user-to-user messaging and sending notifications;
• Conducting payment and IBAN verification processes;
• Measuring and improving service quality;
• Preventing fraud, deception, and misuse; ensuring security;
• Examining disputes and complaints; protecting legal claims;
• Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from authorized authorities.

3. Recipients of the Data

Your personal data, limited to the purposes above, may be shared with the other users involved in the transaction (name/username, listing and request information, messages), third-party technology providers of e-mail and push notification delivery, hosting and analytics services, advertising and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads), and — where legally required — authorized public institutions and organizations. Since some infrastructure services are provided abroad, your data may be transferred abroad in accordance with the conditions of Article 9 of the KVKK. Your data is never sold for commercial purposes.

4. Collection Method and Legal Grounds

Your personal data is collected, fully automatically or by non-automatic means, through the registration form, contact form, messaging screens, mobile application, cookies, and similar channels. Your data is processed based on the legal grounds of establishment and performance of a contract, fulfillment of legal obligations, legitimate interest, your express consent where necessary, and protection of legal claims.

5. Your Rights as a Data Subject (KVKK Art. 11)

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, request information if so, learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used in accordance with that purpose, know the third parties to whom data is transferred domestically or abroad, request correction of incomplete/incorrect data, request deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in the KVKK, request that these operations be notified to third parties, object to the emergence of a result to your detriment through analysis exclusively by automated systems, and claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

6. How to Exercise Your Rights

You may submit your requests regarding your rights to info@skykite.com.tr together with information identifying you. Your request will be answered free of charge within thirty (30) days at the latest. In case of rejection or no response, you may file a complaint with the KVKK Board.
